Santa Maria is a small Colombian village in the Andean mountain range of Huila.  The village lies in a valley surrounded by mountain peaks with unique soil and ideal conditions to grow coffee. Facunda Arroyo was one of the founders of this village and owned a finca where she cultivated coffee since the early 1940’s. She had nine children of which four still grow coffee today on the same lands where she once started. And so are some of her grandchildren.

Although I grew up in the Netherlands I very much enjoyed visiting my grandmother in the beautiful Andean mountains of Santa Maria Colombia. Throughout my life I have worked on many occasions with coffee. Always keeping in mind the coffees from my grandmother, my uncles and cousins. The coffee they grow is of outstanding quality with full sweet caramel and marzipan cupping notes and is graded as specialty coffee. Due to a lack of acces to international markets my uncles always sold their coffee in the village at but a fraction of international market prices. Therefore I founded together with them an export company in Colombia and an import company in the Netherlands to sell our microlot specialty coffee directly to specialty coffee enthousiasts all over Europe.

We can offer you spot coffees directly from our warehouse in Antwerp as well as LCL and FCL loads directly from origin upon request. Please contact us for your Colombian coffee needs and to know our current stock positions.

El Café

All our coffees are specialty coffees from Santa Maria Huila produced by the Arroyo family. We handpick and carefully select the coffees at all stages of production to guarantee high grade and consistent quality. Because of the small scale of the microlots we are in a better position to control the overal quality. The unique soil of our finca’s bring about coffees with a full sweetness with caramel and almond hints. The acidity is pleasant and the medium body makes for an excellent well balanced Colombian coffee.

For 2017-2018 crop we can offer the coffees as below specified.
